What is the Primadonna’s? We are a non-profit chapter that utilizes our crocheting creativity to create and donate scarves, hats, blankets, mittens, etc. to organizations that are in need. Check out our first project below. Hats and scarves were donated to Mrs. Wilson's Halfway House during the Christmas season. Interested in joining? Contact Josephine at 973-983-9276. Nonna's Yarn Cafe was kind enough to allow us to have our meetings at their location. Thank you!

March 2007 Minutes  - Attendance:  Shari, Jean, Josephine, Nickie, Susan, Lisa
Old business:
Baby items were dropped off at Several Sources Shelter in Ramsey.   Our mens chemo caps for St. Claires were collected and tagged.  We have 31 total.   Andrea will be contacted to make arrangements with her contact person at the hospital for the caps to be delivered.    New Business:   Nominees were voted in for the 2007 calendar year as follows:

                    President / Treasurer    Lisa Porco
Vice President / Secretary   Andrea VanBensochten

The by-laws that Andrea presented at the last meeting were unanimously accepted as is.   Lisa contacted Mimi  Gelbman at Morristown Memorial Hospital as per request.  Mimi is the co-coordinator of volunteer services for the Carol Simon Cancer Center there and has a need for mens and womens chemo caps, prayer shawls and lap blankets.  This will be our next project as a chapter.  Our due date for this project is the June 13 meeting.  Please remember to use SOFT yarn that is washable and dryable.     We have also projected our future project to be pink scarves with the “breast cancer ribbon” crocheted into the pattern.  These will be collected and donated to raise money for the American Cancer Society through its “Making Strides” cancer walk, usually held in the fall.  Josephine and Shari have agreed to work out a pattern for us to use. We should be able to see them at our next meeting.    Our deadline for this project is the September meeting.    Our next meeting is on April 11.  Please bring in your personal projects to “show and tell”.
