Nonna's Yarn Cafe
Here we are in beautiful Denville. Two Italian sisters, Josephine & Nickie, who love to knit, crochet and bake! Our mother’s name was Rosalia and our children would call her Nonna, which means Grandma in Italian. She was the inspiration for our yarn café. Now she is our guardian angel watching over us and our dream.
Our dream is to make Nonna’s Yarn Café a very enjoyable gathering spot for all knitters and crocheters. Don’t worry if you are neither…once you walk through our doors you will want to be one or the other!

As you have noticed we are members of ravelry.com and we also have linked our blog to our website, therefore when you have time just peek into the blog and there you will see what is happening in Nonna’s world.
With this frigid temperature I have noticed that quite a few of you purchased yarns for afghans/blankets, it’s the perfect project not only are your fingers moving but your legs are keeping nice and toasty. We are replenishing yarns and books constantly.
Our classes are always full. Even though we call them beginner class they are not always. Everyone knows I mix up the levels and it seems to work. Everyone loves to see the progress that they will or have made.
In our specialty class’s news: we just finished the squares for the Great American Afghan just in time for the holidays. And in between we all learned about EZ’s baby surprise jacket. That was lots of fun. Pix will be posted in the blog! What else? Taos vest that was a big hit, we have about 10 ladies knitting it. Some of you are just putting it together now.
What’s next? Well many of you have been asking to knit a top down sweater, how to knit entralac and some fair isle. Therefore these classes will be coming up I’ll also throw in a little bit of lace and cable work that’ll be fun!!
